Description

A- | A+

Discover the medieval story of the two neighboring yet rival castles : New Castle and Old Castle. The views tell of an even older story that stretches from the Alpine Sea to the Rhone Glacier.
The interpretive trail of the Allinges castles will take you to discover one of the 20 geosites developed by the UNESCO World Geopark of Chablais.

Former residences of St François de Sales, the Allinges castles are one of the emblematic sites of the province of Chablais.

On site, thanks to explanatory panels, you will understand the medieval history of these two neighbouring and rival fortresses.

Dating from the 10th century, these two castles carry in them the history of the territory. The Belvedere des Châteaux rises to 717 meters, you will discover an exceptional panorama on the Geneva, the Jura and the Prealps.

On site, the Art'llingeoise gallery offers temporary exhibitions during the summer period (paintings, sculptures, photographs...).
